The reviews say it plainly: the food is delicious, the drinks are affordable, and the people make you want to come back. Lake Oconee Elks Lodge 2849 has earned a 4.7-star rating from members and guests who keep returning to 871 Harmony Rd for exactly that combination. This is the kind of place where you walk in a stranger and leave knowing half the room.

The lodge sits in Eatonton, Georgia, a small town with deep roots and a tight-knit character that fits the Elks mission perfectly. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has championed community service, veteran support, and local giving since 1868, and Lodge 2849 carries that tradition forward on the shores of Lake Oconee. Every meal served and every bingo card handed out helps fund programs that touch real families in Putnam County.

Friday night bingo fills the hall with laughter, friendly competition, and more than a few winning shouts. The bar keeps prices honest, the kitchen keeps the plates full, and the members keep the atmosphere exactly what it should be: warm, welcoming, and worth the drive.

What We Offer

Membership at Lodge 2849 opens the door to a full calendar of events, a well-stocked bar, and home-cooked meals at prices that would embarrass most restaurants in the area. Regular bingo nights are a lodge staple, drawing crowds who come for the game and stay for the company. Dinner service features crowd-pleasing comfort food prepared fresh, and the kitchen's reputation speaks for itself across those 43 reviews.

Beyond the dining room, the lodge serves as a gathering place for community fundraisers, holiday celebrations, and member socials throughout the year. Veterans programs, youth initiatives, and local charitable giving are woven into the lodge's annual mission. Whether you're a long-standing Elk or considering membership for the first time, the activity here gives you real reasons to show up every week.

Membership is required to enjoy lodge amenities, but the process is straightforward. Visit the lodge, talk to a member, or head to the national Elks website to start your application. Once you're in, the value is immediate.

"From what i know thru some good friends and local papers this lodge is very active in many charities. They love the children, our Veterans and Education!GREAT bartenders serving up inexpensive cocktails with beautiful smiles and wonderful senses of humor. Finally found and hired Ms Daisy who does an excellent job in the kitchen! . Only a couple downers such as they're are a few cliques and a bit too much gossip about strangers. Otherwise its a nice place to have a quiet, inexpensive meal and a cold drink!"

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
